Warhammer 7th Edition in October

The next edition of Warhammer Fantasy Battles (or, I suppose, just Warhammer) is scheduled for release in October of this year.

Games Workshop is following the format of the new edition of Warhammer 40,000 and releasing the game in two formats. The hardcover rulebook will be about $50 and include all of the rules and fluff that you've come to expect from a GW rulebook. They'll also release the boxed set -- entitles Battle for Skull Pass -- that includes everything that you need to get started including 100 miniatures (of the Dwarf and Goblin variety), terrain and a mini-rulebook that walks you through getting started. All for only $45!

We've been of the opinion that Battle for Macragge was the best thing to ever happen to Warhammer 40,000 and now their bringing that style of boxed set to Warhammer. We couldn't be happier and we can wait to see it (in time for Christmas shopping too!).
