"Chaotic" is coming

Today's Wall Street Journal has an article about an upcoming TCG from the folks who created Yu-Gi-Oh! (4Kids Entertainment). It's called Chaotic. Now, this wouldn't really make news except for this bit...

On the bottom of each card is printed a special code that, when entered into the online game, gives you access to an online version of that card.

It's a pretty neat idea. Especially from a retailer perspective. Game retailers don't like the Magic Online so much because of the perception that sales of Magic Online cut into the sales of the traditional TCG. This ties the two games directly together.

The half-hour animated series that will be supporting the game will be out this fall. The game itself comes out early next year.
