In case you didn't get our latest flyer (and if you didn't be sure to get yourself on the mailing list next time you're in the store) this Saturday, January 14th at Noon will be the next installment of our continuin series of game auctions.
The rules are pretty simple:
If you want to sell something in the auction bring it into the store and fill out a simple form to get your item in the auction. Not all items will be accepted. We tend to cut off anything that we're getting too many of or anything that has shown a pattern in the past of not selling. We don't want to waste anybody's time by having a lot of dead items. During the auction the auction staff will sell your items. At the end of the auction you will receive a
gift card containing the FULL SALE PRICE of the items that you sold (the gift card part is a new addition). Please avoid brining your items in on the day of the auction if you can help it. That day is crazy enough without having to spend all morning checking in new lots.
If you're just looking to buy come on in Saturday before Noon to get a sneak peek at the auction lots. We generally have a full cross-section of gaming goodness. You'll find board games, RPGs, miniatures, magazines, card games, the occasional videogame, and other fun stuff. This is definitely a buyers market. You can expect to find some great deals on gaming items new and old.
The auction usually runs about 3-4 hours and is a LOT of fun. Even if you aren't planning to buy you may still want to come over and check it out. The auctioneers and the crowd are both very entertaining. It's also a good time to meet new people as the auction tends to be one of our single biggest events with people from a variety of backgrounds and interests.
We'll see you there!
